First Teaser for Western Series ‘Ransom Canyon’ with Josh Duhamel

“I promise it’s not too late… not for this town… and not for us.” Ooooh la la, Duhamel! Netflix has revealed the first teaser trailer for a modern cowboy western series called Ransom Canyon, ready for streaming in April. This is adapted directly from the book by Jodi Thomas, well, the book that’s titled Ransom Canyon: A Small Town Cowboy Romance. 🇺🇸 “Love. Land. Legacy.” A romance-fueled family drama and contemporary western saga that charts the intersecting lives and loves of three ranching families set against the sweeping tundras and rolling rivers of Texas hill country. “At its core, Ransom Canyon isn’t just a town. It’s an idea. It’s the painful longing for your first love. It’s the burning desire to protect your family. It’s cowboys and lovers, grifters and thieves. Lust, deceit, heartache, home…Ransom has it all.” This stars Josh Duhamel and Minka Kelly, along with James Brolin, Eoin Macken, Lizzy Greene, Garrett Wareing, Jack Schumacher, Marianly Tejada, Andrew Liner, and Phlip Winchester. There is not too much to see here yet, with so little footage so far, but it’s all about the sweltering romance and cowboy life in this teaser.

Welcome to Ransom Canyon, where love, loss, and loyalty collide beneath the crimson mesas of Texas Hill Country. Ransom Canyon is a series created and showrun by producer / writer April Blair, a writer on “Reign and “The Shannara Chronicles”, and creator of the “All American” TV series previously. With additional writing by Laura Nava. Adapted from the book of the same name written by Jodi Thomas. Executive produced by Amanda Marsalis, Dan Angel, and April Blair. It’s made by Netflix Studios and Fezziwig Studios. Netflix will debut the Ransom Canyon series streaming on Netflix starting April 17th, 2025 this spring. Who’s down?
