Ballerina Oscars Spot

“Why didn’t you leave?” “I’m working on it.” Lionsgate has debuted a 30-sec promo TV spot for Ballerina, the next John Wick movie (sort of) arriving in theaters this summer. This is a brand new “Oscars Special Look spot, shown during the Academy Awards ceremony tonight – also now online to enjoy. Ana de Armas stars as Eve, an assassin trained in the traditions of the Ruska Roma getting revenge hunting the murderers of her family. The same character was played by Unity Phelan in 2019’s John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum and this takes place before Chapter 4. The film’s main supporting cast includes Ian McShane, Anjelica Huston, Keanu Reeves, Gabriel Byrne, Catalina Sandino Moreno, & Norman Reedus. With an appearance by Lance Reddick shot before he passed away. This footage here really does kick ass – this can still potentially turn out to be a fully entertaining big action movie. I’m hopeful! Glad to see them promoting it big time, also featuring Keanu though I don’t think he has a main role in it overall. Have a look.

A young female assassin known as Eve seeks revenge against the people who killed her family… Taking place around the same time as the events of John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum, the movie follows Eve Macarro (Ana de Armas) who is beginning her training in the assassin traditions of the “Ruska Roma”. From the World of John Wick: Ballerina, formerly known as simply Ballerina, is directed by the American action filmmaker Len Wiseman, director of the films Underworld, Underworld: Evolution, Live Free or Die Hard, and Total Recall previously, plus TV episodes of “Lucifer”, “Sleepy Hollow”, “APB”, “The Gifted”, “Swamp Thing” most recently. The screenplay is written by Shay Hatten (John Wick: Chapter 3 & 4, Army of the Dead, Day Shift, Rebel Moon Part 1 & 2); based on characters created by Derek Kolstad. Produced by Basil Iwanyk, Erica Lee, and Chad Stahelski. Lionsgate will debut From the World of John Wick: Ballerina in theaters nationwide starting on June 6th, 2025 coming up this summer (latest trailer). Still look good?
