IDF conducts strikes in Bekaa Valley, Lebanon

Israel conducted strikes against Hezbollah targets in the village of Janta in eastern Lebanon, the IDF confirmed early Friday morning.

The Israel Air Force carried out strikes on the village, which is located near the Lebanon-Syria border, hitting terror infrastructure sites used to smuggle weaponry across the Syrian-Lebanese border into Lebanon, the military said.

The air force struck additional terror targets in the Bekaa Valley, which included a site with underground infrastructure used for the development and manufacturing of weapons.

According to Reuters, citing the Lebanese health ministry, two people were killed in the strike.

Hezbollah drone enters Israeli territory

On Thursday, a Hezbollah surveillance drone approached Israeli territory from Lebanon but was intercepted by the Air Force, which breached the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Lebanon.

Earlier this week, Hezbollah threatened to break the ceasefire agreement. The military reiterated that no terrorist activity would be accepted in this or any form.

Israeli troops remain in southern Lebanon to continue to protect Israeli interests, the military said Friday morning.
