Info Edge Q3 Results: Net profit jumps 60% YoY to Rs 243 crore, revenue rises 15%


Info Edge, the parent company of job listing portal Naukri, on Wednesday posted a net profit of Rs 242.59 crore for the third quarter ending December 2024, up 60.6% year-over-year from Rs 151.09 crore a year earlier.

The company’s revenue from operations for the third quarter grew 15.2% YoY to Rs 722.39 crore, compared to Rs 627.12 crore in the year-ago quarter.

The company said it improved its operating profit margins to 39.2% of revenue and registered a growth of 20.4% in its operating profit, which stood at Rs 263.4 crore on a standalone basis in Q3FY25 as compared to Rs 218.7 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

Its standalone business generated cash from operation (before taxes) of Rs 345.8 crore for the third quarter.

“In Q3, we achieved 16% billing growth, driven by consistent performance across all four verticals. Our recruitment business continued its growth trajectory across all segments, contributing to improved operating profits. Additionally, the non-recruitment businesses are also nearing breakeven, further strengthening our position for sustained growth,” said Hitesh Oberoi, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Info Edge.

The company’s earnings per share (EPS) in Q3FY25 was Rs 20.06 per share, witnessing a YoY growth of 21.2%. In the third quarter, Info Edge’s cash generated from operations (before taxes) stood at Rs. 346 crore, witnessing a YoY growth of 26.9%.Meanwhile, the company’s cash balance on a standalone basis (including wholly owned subsidiaries) stood at Rs 4,290 crore, as of December 31, 2024.The company said its billing growth in the December quarter was driven by continued improvement in its recruitment business and the sustained performance of its non-recruitment businesses. The deferred sales revenue in the third quarter stood at Rs 1,067 crore.

The employee count was 5,883 as of December 31, 2024.

Recruitment business in Q3

Info Edge reported a 15% YoY growth in billings for its recruitment segment during Q3FY25. Growth was broad-based, with the IT sector posting a 16% YoY rise, while non-IT segments grew by 17% YoY. The company’s recruitment consultant segment also expanded, albeit at a more modest 9% YoY. Among non-IT sectors, BFSI, Healthcare, Infrastructure, and Manufacturing registered double-digit growth in the third quarter.

The company highlighted a significant expansion in its Naukri database, which now comprises 104 million resumes. On average, 19,500 new resumes were added daily during Q3FY25, reinforcing the platform’s growing reach and engagement.

In addition to its flagship platform, IIMJobs, Naukri Gulf, and Naukri Fast Forward demonstrated strong performance, with billings growing 29%, 21%, and 21% YoY, respectively.

99Acres

In Q3FY25, Info Edge’s 99Acres segment recorded a 16% YoY growth in billings, driven by an increase in the number of billed customers and the average billing per customer. Notably, broker billings outpaced developer billings, reflecting strong traction in the brokerage segment.

The platform also saw significant growth in property listings. Live new project listings increased by 9% YoY, while resale and rental listings from brokers surged by 20% YoY in Q3.

Jeevansathi

In Q3FY25, Info Edge’s matchmaking business Jeevansathi maintained strong billing momentum, registering an impressive 36% YoY growth. At the same time, operating losses declined by 51% YoY, driven by a combination of revenue growth and disciplined cost control.

Jeevansathi is also exploring additional monetisation opportunities, aiming to leverage its platform traffic more effectively, the company said. The combination of strong billings growth and sustained cost management contributed to the platform’s improved financial performance in Q3.

Shiksha

In Q3FY25, Info Edge’s Shiksha segment recorded a 12% YoY growth in billings and generated Rs 15 crore in cash from operations.
