After a little bit of uncertainty, we can now confirm Denis Villeneuve is returning to direct Dune: Messiah, a third (and likely final) film in the Dune saga. Villeneueve’s next project is slated to release in December 2026, with many hoping (and plenty of people assuming) that project ends up being Dune: Messiah.
