In addition to the drone attack, Russian forces shelled residential buildings in the city of Kherson, injuring two people, and carried out 10 aerial strikes on communities in the front-line region of Zaporizhzhia, the regional administrations announced Thursday.
Trump said Wednesday that he had a “lengthy and highly productive phone call” with Putin on Wednesday morning, in which he confirmed they agreed to work together on a diplomatic resolution to the war in Ukraine.
Following the call with Putin, Trump said he had spoken to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to inform him about the conversation. “He, like President Putin, wants to make PEACE,” Trump said.
