While I’ve tried a CBD ube cookie before, this was my first experience using CBD gummies. When I opened my package from Soul, I was immediately excited to take a gummy—admittedly because of the cute label on the product’s container and my chosen flavor. Tastewise, this gummy’s chamomile honey flavor may be too sweet for some users, but I personally found the flavor to be pleasant. On the other hand, each gummy contains 2 grams of sugar—something I’m not crazy about, as I prefer sugar-free products when possible.
I took my first gummy right after getting home from a trip, so I was already a bit tired. And, while I think I slept well for a bit, I woke up shortly after 3:00 a.m.—likely due to anxiety and racing thoughts, which I often experience—and struggled to fall back asleep. Since I wasn’t able to stay asleep and woke up in my typical manner, I began to wonder whether this gummy is potent enough to support my sleep, as well as whether it’s effective.
In spite of my skepticism, however, I continued to take the gummies nightly, mainly thanks to the product’s unique taste (which helped me keep an open mind about what this supplement could potentially offer me).
In the nights that followed, I would call my results a mixed bag. I slept better some nights, but others I found myself experiencing bouts of anxiety or sleeplessness. I believe this product may have contributed to deeper rest on some nights, but overall, I think it had a relatively minor impact on my sleep.
In the past, I’ve taken melatonin gummies that really seemed to knock me out—some to the point where I even felt groggy the next day. While I’m not looking for a product that leaves me feeling tired and hazy the next day, this CBD and melatonin gummy didn’t compare to other sleep products, such as melatonin gummies, I’ve previously tried. With conflicting suggestions from the brand on whether to take a single gummy or one-to-two gummies per day, I wondered if I should have gone with the latter dosage.
Soul CBD Sleepi Gummies: What I Liked
I really enjoyed the chamomile honey flavor from the start—it made me look forward to taking a gummy each night because it was like a bite-sized sweet treat before bed. I also appreciated its melatonin content, as products containing melatonin have helped me sleep in the past.
Soul CBD Sleepi Gummies: What I Didn’t Like
I don’t love that each gummy contains 20 calories, 2 grams of sugar and 3 grams of carbohydrates. I’ve tried gummy supplements with fewer calories in the past, and I’d prefer less sugar and fewer carbs as well.
