The NASCAR Cup Series begins the 2025 season in earnest with Sunday’s Cook Out Clash at Bowman Gray Stadium.
The non-points paying exhibition is the annual opening to the season and is in Winston-Salem for the first time. The quarter-mile Bowman Gray Stadium has not hosted a Cup race since 1971.
Chase Elliott is on the pole after winning Heat 1 on Saturday and should be among the favorites in the 200-lap main event. Sunday’s on-track action begins with the last chance qualifier that will settle the final three spots in the field.
