Rain and mild temperatures remain in the forecast for flooded B.C. regions.

A brief break in the heavy rainfall is expected Thursday before additional rain impacts B.C.'s South Coast communities on Friday, bringing scattered showers and a heightened flood threat.

Flood warnings have triggered evacuation orders for hundreds in Abbotsford, B.C.

Another system will follow, resulting in more rain through the weekend.

The heaviest rainfall is expected Sunday and Monday. Forecast totals over the next five days range from 50-150 mm for the Fraser Valley and much of the South Coast.

Freezing levels near 2000 m this weekend continue to pose an avalanche risk, with a weakened snowpack creating unstable conditions. Temperatures reaching 5°C above seasonal averages will also contribute to snowmelt, increasing runoff into overflowing rivers.
