Monroe County Executive Adam Bello has tapped his chief of staff to serve as the next deputy county executive. Amy Grower will replace Jeff McCann in the role after he was elected Greece town supervisor last month.

"Amy is one of the finest public servants I've worked with and has been an integral part of my leadership team and administration since day one," Bello said in a statement. " ... Her insight and expertise will be invaluable as we continue to work to improve the quality of life for families in Monroe County, invest in our local workforce and build a stronger and safer community."

As deputy executive, Grower will act as Bello's second-in-command. She will help oversee day-to-day operations of county government, guide policy development and lead major projects under Bello's direction.

Amy Grower was appointed Monroe County deputy executive in 2025.
