“If you saw me with another guy, would you be okay with it?” 💞 Just in time for Valentine’s Day – this will be out on VOD in a few weeks. Voltage Pictures has debuted an official trailer for Marked Men, an intense romantic thriller movie starring the most beautiful people you have ever seen… Another one of these super hetero-normative “look how hot everyone is!” movies. Also known as Marked Men: Rule & Shaw, this is directed by Nick Cassavetes, and already played in theaters in January for two nights. Shaw, a pre-med student, has loved Rule, a rebellious tattoo artist, for years, though he’s only ever seen her as a family friend. After one uninhibited night together after too many drinks, they’re forced to confront buried feelings while navigating grief, family expectations, and fear of commitment—testing whether love between people from such different worlds can truly survive. Starring Chase Stokes as Rule and Sydney Taylor as Shaw, along with Alexander Ludwig, Ella Balinska, Evan Mock, Matthew Noszka, and Natalie Alyn Lind. This looks so cheesy and absurd, but that’s what they’re going for with this crazy lustful romance. Bring a drink.
Here’s the official trailer (+ poster) for Nick Cassavetes’ Marked Men: Rule & Shaw, from YouTube:
Shaw Landon has loved Rule Archer from the moment she laid eyes on him. Rule, a fiery-tempered rebel tattoo artist, doesn’t have time for a good girl pre-med student like Shaw – even if she’s the only one who can see the person he truly is. She lives by other people’s rules; he makes his own. But a short skirt, too many birthday cocktails, and spilled secrets lead to a night neither can forget. Now, Shaw and Rule must figure out how a girl like her and a guy like him are supposed to be together without ending up destroying their love… or each other. Marked Men: Rule & Shaw is directed by American actor / writer / filmmaker Nick Cassavetes, director of the films Unhook the Stars, John Q, The Notebook, Alpha Dog, My Sister’s Keeper, Yellow, The Other Woman, and God is a Bullet most recently. The screenplay is written by Sharon Soboil; adapted from the novel titled “Rule” written by Jay Crownover. Produced by Jennifer Gibgot, Josh Kesselman, Brian Pitt, and J.B. Sugar. Voltage Pictures opened Marked Men in theaters on January 21st & 22nd – it will also be available on VOD starting February 28th, 2025 coming soon. Anyone into this film?
