City move up to second in the WSL after an ultimately comfortable victory at Villa Park. Vivianne Miedema scored twice, the second a glorious goal, while their new signing Kerolin came off the bench for her debut.

Celtic v Dundee postponed

Celtic’s Scottish Premiership match against Dundee on Saturday has been postponed following storm damage to the club’s stadium. Storm Éowyn brought winds of up to 100mph in central Scotland on Friday and a Met Office red weather warning of danger to life.

WSL: Aston Villa 2-4 Man City (71 min)

Manchester City lead 4-2 in an entertaining game at Villa Park. It was 2-2 at half-time, with Vivianne Miedema scoring twice for City inbetween the opening goal from Chasity Grant and an own-goal from Laia Aleixdandri. Mary Fowler and Jess Park have given City breathing space in the second half.

Preamble

What rare treat is this? There are five 3pm games in the Premier League, with the top three all in action. Champions-elect Liverpool host Ipswich, while Arsenal and Nottingham Forest have awkward away trips to Wolves and Bournemouth respectively.
