Monster Hunter Wilds Preorders – Where To Get Steelbook Edition And Best Deals

The next entry in Capcom’s wildly popular Monster Hunter series is just a few short weeks away. Monster Hunter Wilds releases on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on February 28. Fans have multiple editions to choose from, including the Monster Hunter Wilds Steelbook Edition for $75–just five bucks more than the standard edition. You can preorder either of the physical editions for console at Amazon, Walmart, Best Buy, and other major retailers. A pair of higher priced digital editions will also be available at launch, and all versions of Monster Hunter Wilds come with in-game preorder bonuses.

Heads up for PC players: Though you can’t get the steelbook case with your preorder, you can save big on Monster Hunter Wilds at Fanatical. The PC digital storefront is taking preorders for Steam keys for all three digital editions: standard, deluxe, and premium deluxe. The $90 Monster Hunter Wilds Digital Deluxe Edition includes the base game and all applicable preorder bonuses, plus the Deluxe Pack, which gets you additional layered armor sets for your hunter, Palico partner, and Seikret mount, an extra talisman, and a selection of cosmetic items. Preorders are available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam. Xbox users can preorder the Deluxe Edition on Amazon, too.

Fanatical has Steam preorders for the Deluxe Edition listed for $73.79. You’ll get all of the same content as you would if you purchased a copy directly from Steam.

Monster Hunter Wilds Premium Deluxe Edition

The $110 Premium Deluxe Edition is another digital-only option available for preorder. This one includes everything in the Digital Deluxe Edition, plus access to two DLC cosmetic packs arrive post-launch, an exclusive music track, and tops it off with a few more cosmetic items for your hunter to wear in-game. You can preorder the Monster Hunter Wilds Premium Deluxe Edition on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam. Once again, Xbox keys are also available at a few major retailers, including Amazon.

If you’re interested in the Premium Deluxe Edition for PC, make sure to check out Fanatical, as you can save about $20 and get all of the same in-game goodies and preorder bonuses.

Monster Hunter Wilds looks to be an evolution of both Monster Hunter World and Monster Hunter Rise, pushing the series into new gameplay directions, including a new dual-weapon system that lets players take two armaments with them into a hunt, and new ways to interact with the environment in more realistic–and strategically advantageous–ways.

Hunters will have another chance to check out the game early when the second cross-platform open beta kicks off next week. The upcoming open beta runs from February 6-9 and February 13-16.
