As we’ve just reported, he has confirmed that around 10 people have died following the attack.
It’s not yet clear why the number given is only approximate, but local media quote Forest as saying that police are still in the process of identifying the dead.
No details of any victims have yet been provided.

Police said in a statement they had opened an investigation into attempted murder, arson and an aggravated weapons offence, a spokesman told a news conference.
And officers were met with smoke when they entered the scene of the crime, Reuters reports.
“When it comes to saying anything more about the perpetrator, it is still very early. The operation is ongoing and that will undoubtedly become clearer. But we are working very intensively right now,” local police chief Roberto Eid Forest told reporters.
National police chief Petra Lundh has released a statement.
Lundh said: “On Tuesday, February 4, a very serious incident occurred in Örebro. Our thoughts go out to the victims and their families. Within the Police Authority, we have deployed significant resources and, in parallel with the police operation itself, we are now implementing measures to create security in Orebro.”

A separate note published alongside the 16:10 update clarifies that while there are six people in hospitals, none of them are children.

The number of people hospitalised after the attack has gone up to six, the Örebro region authorities confirmed in an update note published in the last few minutes.
The note also confirms that that local hospitals stepped up their response to offer more hospital beds or treatment, if needed.
Police raid suspect’s flat – media reports
Swedish media Nerikes Allehanda, STV and Aftonbladet are reporting that the police have raided a flat in Örebro which is believed to be connected with the suspect as they continue their investigation into the attack.
Emergency response in Örebro – in pictures
The latest police update adds that officers are continuing to search the campus.
It also explains that emergency services had previously asked people to stay in shelter pending further instructions, but have now proceeded with safely letting them leave the area.
