This Harriet Tubman mural, titled ‘Take My Hand,” is located on the Harriet Tubman Museum & Educational Center. Created by local artist Michael Rosato in 2019, the mural depicts Tubman reaching out with her hand, symbolizing her role in guiding enslaved people to freedom.

This powerful artwork, commissioned by the Dorchester Center for the Arts and other local organizations, has drawn widespread attention, due to a viral image of a child interacting with the mural, capturing its emotional impact.

Visitors can explore the mural and the museum, which showcases Tubman’s legacy and her role in the Underground Railroad. The mural is part of the Chesapeake Country Mural Trail, celebrating public art and history in Dorchester County.
